The short answer to the title question is no. I believe uni is just a time consuming task that has to be done in order to get a decent wage. Basically it gives u a piece of paper to do the job that I am assuming for most of us taking the courses comes naturally.
I came across this blog post of Miss Taylor found here and I found her comments really interesting she basically feels she is not ready to be a teacher and she has heard other first year teachers say that there first year in a school were horrific. My question why is this happening and why are we as people silly enough to pay for a $30 000 education that is not actually giving us the skills that we need.
